Our History

From 1961 to 2003, Seymour owned and operated Joseph Cleaners on York Avenue in NYC, where he became affectionately known as the unofficial mayor of the Upper East Side. Seymour's personal touch was legendary—he not only knew every doorman and superintendent by name but also remembered each customer after just one meeting, often recalling their birthdays. His dedication made Joseph Cleaners one of the most successful dry cleaners in Manhattan.


In 2003, Seymour and his son Gary expanded their legacy by purchasing East Hills Cleaners in Long Island. The success that defined their Manhattan business continues to thrive at East Hills Cleaners, where Seymour's motto, "Quality, Responsibility, & Personality," is proudly displayed over the front counter.


Seymour was regarded as the finest "counterman" in the business, and his commitment to excellence lives on in this family-owned establishment. His legacy is the cornerstone of East Hills Cleaners, where we look forward to serving you with the same dedication and care that Seymour was known for.

Eco-Friendly

We use all energy efficient washers and dryers and process all our dry cleaning and laundry with Eco-friendly products. A result of that is by default we use no dye no scent soap and softener.
